Founded in 1949

Howard H. Drewery founds the company as a local tree removal service. Each of his four sons, Larry, Dale, Keith, and Terry, eventually join him in the business.

Drewery is Incorporated

Drewery is officially incorporated as Drewery Construction Company, Inc.
Howard Drewery retires and his son, Keith Drewery, assumes Presidency of the company.

Larry Drewery Passes

We remember Larry’s wisdom, knowledge, and dedication to work excellence.  His honesty, integrity, and strength of character, which he attributed to his faith in God, has left us a legacy of which all are proud. We owe him a debt of gratitude as he helped forge Drewery Construction into what it is today.

Completion of the new Drewery Construction Corporate Office in Nacogdoches, TX.

Disaster Recovery

Drewery responds to some of the largest natural disasters in our nation’s history to provide recovery services. Notably, Hurricanes Katrina, Rita & Ivan.

Drewery Wheaton, a sister company, is formed to provide additional services and complimentary abilities to Drewery Construction.

3rd Generation management

Drewery Construction enters its third generation of family management with Keith, Dale, Peggy (wife of Larry), and Terry appointed to the Board of Directors.

Kyle Drewery (son of Keith) and Summer Wheaton (daughter of Keith) assume the Presidency and Vice-Presidency, respectively.

Dale Drewery Passes

Dale was an integral part of the Drewery family business. He and his brothers took over the tree service and began transitioning the company into Construction. He was the shop supervisor for many years before leading the asphalt paving operation. We remember him fondly for his leadership, experience and dedication.
